Two undercover cops just arrest over 100 people for crimes that could get them all put in prison for the rest of their lives, and then the two cops basically are left all by their lonesomes in a trailer? Say what!? Those two cops would be seprated and protected like the President, because it would be fairly obvious that people would be gunning for them and even more obvious that some crooked cop would have tipped off somebody where they were at.

Exactly! HUGE lack of logic on the writer's part. My jaw dropped when they chose to wait for the fuss to pass in a small trailer by a lake with one shotgun and a handgun. That was insane. No self-respecting police force would allow that.

But this is based on actual events, whatever that means.

What does that mean? All the more reason for them to go off into hiding instead of being so stupid.

Well Jim said in the beginning to Kris that she was never to tell other cops what they were doing. That they had eachother's backs and only could trust eachother. Plus as powerful as Gaines was he probably had half the department on his payroll. Jim and Kris could only trust eachother.
