A number posters have noted that Jack Stanton and Dan Merrick have the same voice, which would be a little implausible.
What about the hair issue? In the flashback right after Dan's body is discovered, Jack Stanton clearly has black hair and a mullet. Dan has brownish, short curly hair.
While the plastic surgeons could give Jack Dan's face, they couldn't him Dan's exact hairstyle.
Did the windshield shear bits of Jack's hair off as well? Did Judith sneak in, while he was in a coma, and give him a makeover (with none of the staff in intensive care) noticing?

It's called suspension of disbelief. The hair would be an overall minor issue in the grand scheme of things, and I'm sure Judith would have 'helped' style his hair to make Jack look like Dan once he was out of surgery.
