<p dir="auto">I've only ever saw the special edition or assembly cut or whatever you call it, but it's not a bad movie at all.<br />
The acting and the script are good, the sets are top notch, the new creature design is interesting and doesn't feel at odds.<br />
I also think once you get over Newt and Hicks being dead, the truly dark, depressing tone is actually quite refreshing in a weird way; it's quite rare.<br />
It's a proper ending too, not happy (real endings often aren't), but actually quite satisfying. I felt bad for Ripley by the end and death on her own terms, while simultaneously ending the alien threat felt right at that point.<br />
It's a strong b-movie for me</p>

<p dir="auto">B-movie??? Sh!t off! This is A plus all the way mate! Great actors, original story Ok, the effects had moments, but a b-movie?!?</p>
