Great thriller. Crazy and controversial but highly entertaining and shocking. Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas are fantastic in this film along with Jerry Goldsmiths music. One of the great things I admired about Paul Verhoeven is that he's a director whose got balls and always breaks new ground with all his films. Whether it's the violence, the language, sex, or technology, he pushed it with his films and I feel that probably was his downfall here in America. Basic Instinct is one of the most iconic thrillers of the 1990's.
