In the mid-90's I was living in Malaysia (on a sailboat of all things) and I had bought a VHS of Captain Ron before I left the US. After having seen it about 100 times we rented a VHS movie in Malaysia (don't remember what it was) and there was a trailer for Captain Ron. Three of the four scenes in the trailer were not in the copy of the movie I had. I was shocked. One had to do with how the dinghy was lost. Another one showed that there was a bit more romance (at least in Captain Ron's mind) going on between Kurt and MKP, and the third one I can't remember. The forth one I can't remember, either, but it was in the movie. I didn't see the movie when it was in the theater in the US, but was this just the regular trailer that had scenes that were later cut (probably to get the rating down), or was there a different version of the movie overseas? I haven't seen those scenes or that trailer since.
