This movie is PRACTICALLY a Vacation movie complete with all the mishaps, kids coming along reluctantly against their own will, family from Chicago, etc. Just replace Martin Short and Mary Kay Place with Chevy Chase and Beverly D'Angelo as Clark and Ellen Griswold. Just change the names of the kids from Carolina and Benjaman to Audrey and Rusty. Then have the song "Holiday Road" playing in the background while they're riding in the boat AND you got yourself:
