Does anyone know who was under consideration for the role of Captain Ron instead of Kurt Russell? I personallly think it was a brilliant choice. Kurt has such great comedic timing and understanding of the character which is essential for a comedy to succeed. But it's always interesting to hear about other actors who might have been up for consideration before a role is cast. I'm also wondering the same thing for the role of Martin, played by Martin Short, which was also a great choice.
My two cents: GREAT movie because of GREAT performances. That's why Captain Ron stands the test of time.
