<p dir="auto">He didn't really seem to add anything in the movie for me.  I mean Fergus hits to get him to back off of Dil and gets him off her back, and then gets Fergus some points from Dil, which is what the story needed.<br />
However, even if Dave is used for that, he keeps on coming back after and I didn't really see the point.  Why not just have Fergus and Dil develop their relationship without some other competitor, getting in the way?</p>
