<p dir="auto">….and the scene in Dangerous Liaisons where the Marquise walks out of the booing theatre and then removes her makeup with a look of self loathing are the only two I can remember at the moment.<br />
I wasn't aware Miranda Richardson uncannily took over from Glenn Close in DL.<br />

<p dir="auto">There are very few scenes that are so powerful and so perfectly acted that they are truly unforgettable.<br />
This scene and the scene in Dangerous Liaisons where the Marquise walks out of the booing theatre and then removes her makeup with a look of self loathing are the only two I can remember at the moment.<br />

<p dir="auto">Her Academy Award nomination was definitely well deserved.  That scene contains some of the best acting I've ever seen.</p>
