in real life would someone call a person they'd met twice and barely spoke to for a "booty call"?
oh, and another thing. did this movie symbolize some greater truth in life? im still trying to 'decipher' it but i could use a push in the right direction. thanks!

Jeremy iron's character was certainly in love with her - no man would cry, and curl up like a baby, like he did on the Paris hotel bed unless he was besotted with the woman.

I think that Jeremy actually had feelings for her, but I don't think she liked him back. Just using him (I'd "use" Jeremy Irons if he was my future father-in-law, too!)

I agree it was a booty call. I can't get why people are trying to romanticize this affair. Sounds like affair from the Jerry Springer show. Father fools around with sons girlfriend. I do think she has issues and set out to destroy the family. But he is just a old coot who is in lust with his sons girlfriend. Simple as that.
