to 0:30 to hear Lt. Kendrick say the following:
LT. KENDRICK - "No I like all you Navy boys. Every time we got to go someplace to fight, you guys always give us a ride."
Although his remark is technically a factual statement, in the manner how he said it, I believe the screenwriter was trying to give the viewer the impression that Lt. Kendrick considers the Navy to be just a non-fighting taxi service for the Marine Corps.
After all, MARINE can also be an acronym for:
