This movie is stupid, but it puts me in a good mood. I told the guy at the video store that. I was watching China Beach with Dana Delany(who didn't get boned enough). I liked it but the third season started to get too dark for me and I had to turn it off and watched this movie, which like I said put me in a good mood again.

I have absolutely no issue with someone not liking the movie; it is after all subjective, but the OP didn't understand a simply concept in the movie which was reiterated and explained numerous times throughout the movie and to call the movie stupid for the reason the OP gave is IMO slightly silly; I think why he let her stay was abundantly clear

Oh dear God, did you not watch the movie at all?!?! Are you being sarcastic (if so it's a very weak attempt)?! He let her stay so that Becky (who he has always loved) will be able to see him as husband material, get jealous and want him backin a nutshell. Dear Lord, it's people like you that went ahead giving this movie very low scores even though you have no idea what it is about but then jump ahead and call it stupid!
