It wasn't a real house but a set built from an existing architectural design that is still available. The architect was given in the closing credits but because it was a set and some modifications were made to the actual plans the architect did not receive a fee.
The house was built as a standing set in Concord, Massachusetts. It was torn down soon after filming ended.
