They did a great job finding look alikes for both Geena Davis and also Lori Petty, until now I swore it was just them both in a lot of makeup.

I thought that same thing too. It definitely looked like her and of course sounded like her. I was disappointed to see another actresses name for that credit. But if it had really been her I'm sure it would have been exposed by now.

I thought the comment was a humorous attempt to tell the poster: don't be so lazy, look it up yourself. How many times have you seen "How old is so-and-so?" or "Who played the role of ?" vincentsteely, it wasn't Davis in old-age makeup. In fact, the elderly characters were all played by lookalikes. Old Dottie was played by Lynn Cartwright, a character actress who worked steadily on television for 37 years. (
A League of Their Own
was her last acting gig.) Sadly, she passed away ten years ago. The reason why she looked to be lip-synching is because her dialog was dubbed by Geena herself in post-production. Davis said in the making of documentary "Nine Memorable Innings" (found in the Special Edition DVD) that Lynn spoke too fast, so she had trouble trying to match Lynn's lip movements.
