Does anyone know why episodes 15-20 of the 6th and final season didn't air originally until the summer after the series finale? According the episode guides, episode 14 aired in March 1999, followed by episodes 21 and 22 (the 1-hour finale) in May, then 15-20 in June. Watching them now in their proper order, I can't imagine how confusing that was for audiences to see, going from a cliffhanger about Sylvia having an affair to the finale, skipping over the conclusion, Maggie's wedding, the build up to C.C. and Niles' relationship, etc. Were the episodes delayed for some reason or were the ratings just not good and they just burned the show off in the summer?

Yeah I always wondered why they did that. I didn't really watch the show until they reran on Lifetime in the early 2000s. But yeah that must have really confused the audience when it originally aired! The June episodes should've aired in April/early May.
