When Screech showed up during the second season as Mr. Belding’s (unpaid?) assistant, I seem to recall him saying something about it being a college internship, or something along those lines. However, I don’t remember this ever being mentioned again in any other episodes. Was Screech supposed to have dropped out of college to be a full-time unpaid assistant to Mr. Belding? If so, that was lazy writing!
