First Person Shooter was definitely a comedy episode, a Top 5 episode from Season 7 for me

I kinda thought First Person Shooter was funny. Maybe not funny enough to be called a comedic episode, but still.

Thanks for the suggestion, but all I needed was a little more info to remember it (since I remember all of this show's episodes). Ah yes, it was a take-off on "Cops" which was such a popular show back then. And I do remember the black gay couple; funny.

X Cops is great. If you don't remember it then you should watch it. Previous poster is talking about Steve and Edie more specifically, Edie.

Not remembering that - what was it? I do remember one of the Wilson brothers (not Owen, the other one) being really funny in a vampire episode. His eyes glowed and he gave Scully something to drink which knocked her out.

X Cops especially with the over-the-top gay guy.

That was a weird episode. Probably around the time the show started to lose me a little.

Definitely "Improbable" with Burt Reynolds as God.

I actually feel the opposite, I was never a fan of X-Files and never really enjoyed it that much EXCEPT for the so called "comedy" episodes which I thought was great.

A few too many, if you ask me. I loved the first few, and of course Mulder's funny lines in serious episodes were always great (added by Duchovny himself, I'm guessing, since the actor's got a very dry sense of humor himself), but I'm afraid toward the end of the series they became a little too enamored of them, and I reached an overload point. But I'll always love the classic early ones. The vampire episode comes to mind. Plus Mulder screaming at the grave in another one.

Post Modern Prometheus is definitely a comedy episode another Great one is X-Cops that is a favorite and Darin Morgan's are of course the best.

I may be wrong but I think PMP is very much a comedic episode.

That one had its funny moments, but I don't consider it a comedy episode, it's more of a tribute to the good ol' creature horrors from the 30's.

Agreed, it was far from one of the worst episodes.

I thought there were a few very funny scenes in Fight Club. It wasn't wonderful but I didn't think it was as bad as some did.
