So we're pretty much retconning all of the mythology storyline from last season? Seriously?
Man, I want to enjoy this show, but this first episode was **** for the birds.
If you never watched the season 10 revival, no worries. It was all wiped out in the first episode of this season.
NOTE: The scene where Mulder straight up cut that dude's throat open was ****ing rad.

Chris Carter wrote himself into a dead end with the season 10 finale and he did his best to write himself out with the season 11 opener. His best just happened to be that it was all a dream. Not very strong. He did more than throw away last season's mythology storyline, he threw away the entire series mythology of alien colonization. The aliens called it off because of global warming. They don't want our crappy planet anymore. Global warming doesn't sound so bad anymore, keeps the aliens away.
