Very much in the same vein as Casablanca where an old love returns after burning the lead character upon their first departing. It's one of my favorite love stories and one of the best Batman films.

Funny you should mention Casablanca - it's my all-time favourite film! Yes I agree you - and now have a burning desire to rewatch Mask of the Phantasm!

It's a very good movie. Even better than the series which was very well done. Just about every minute of this movie is important to the overall plot.
