I have enjoyed some of the more recent Batman animated films, but some of them have been just way too dark, as in what's depicted on screen, as well as the designs/animation.
Mask Of The Phantasm was just dark enough to be taken serious/enjoyable, it wasn't the Superfriends Batman neither it was just PERFECT.

I agree. It'd be nice if more people spoke of this movie as highly as Tim Burton and Christopher Nolan's Batman movies. Perfect Batman. Perfect Joker. Perfect Alfred. Perfect Gordon. Perfect score. Tragic, yet funny. Entertaining, yet emotional. I agree, it is Perfect.
