Is that the killer gets killed pretty quickly when he shows up. It had great build up with paranoia and all the different people that pop up. But when the actual killer shows up he gets dispatched of pretty easily.
I mean he breaks through the glass, gets in and she knocks him out with something, he gets up grabs her again and he passes out, gets up again goes in the garage then gets jumped by this dude and gets squashed by the truck. I just thought they could have had a longer chase sequence with more stuff happening.
Thats what i love about these high school girls, i get older they stay the same age.

Each segment was only 30 minutes(ish) so the whole story WAS the set up, the building to the killer. I thought this was the best segment in the movie (just ahead of the "morgue" story which I thought was hilarious, SO cheesey.) I loved the references to Halloween, and the building of suspense right up till
"Bill"
is revealed to be the killer. Since this WAS a short segment I disagree that the killer being killed off was too fast. Just watched this for the first time in years, very much enjoyed "the gas station" and the other 2 were OK but still fun.

My complaint is that the main chick is too stupid to live - she just does dumb stuff time and again.

I was surprised to find out Carpenter did both this and Hair. Gas Station was really pedestrian compared to Hair which was excellent and funny as hell. It might not be true, but to me it looks as if he threw Station together just to make it a feature.
