Was it just me, or did she look phenomenal for 52 in this movie? There were a couple times she looked like she could have been in her early 30's. Anyone else notice this?

For the same reason why 40+ men are always teamed up with 20-30 year old women. Remember Sean Connery with Catherine Zeta-Jones in Entrapement? During filming he was 68 and she was ony 29. I don't care how "sexy" women find Connery, that match-up was hilariously funny, IMO.

One correction
Ann was NOT in a car accident.
What happened was she fell off a platform high above a stage and yes, it nearly killed her and yes, she did have to have some surgery to correct the injuries, but it wasn't reconstructive (as in "cosmetic or plastic") facial surgery.
Her looks are from genetics alone.
Read her biography, "My Story".
It's an excellent book and there are pictures of her five weeks after that horrendous fall and she's still wearing braces on her teeth and a cast onher arm from the repair surgery and you'll see that she's had no facial reconstruction-type work done.
Also, for anyone who wants to see more of her, check out "Tommy" (yep. The movie of the rock opera by The Who) and Bye, Bye Birdie.
In Bye, Bye Birdie, there is a dance sequence that just kicks a$$ and in Tommy, there's a baked bean scene that guys LOVE (though, I think it's kinda wierd, even though I do love her myself).
And, for whatever it's worth, I wish SHE'D have been the one to marry Elvis. Maybe he'd still be alive if it HAD been her and not that bee-itch he did marry.
(Of course, had that been the case, Roger Smith, the man Ann is married to, may have died of whips out "My Story" to get the name right myasthenia gravis.)
"We're all out of cornflakes. F.U." Took me three hours to figure out F.U. was Felix Ungar!

I have almost forgotten how wonderful of a movie this truely was. I happened to put this in the dvd player the otehr day and just laughed, and at the end got severly sad knowing that we will never be able to have another pairing in the world of cinema like Walter Matthau, Jack Lemmon, and I have to add Burgess Meredith-he made the first movie in my mind. The story was touching, the actors made it heartbreaking, the setting (biased here-lived two blocks away from where they filmed this) was an excellent choice. I have to say Ann Margaret is beautiful, one of the best looking wqomen ever, and in this movie she made herself a goddess in my mind. Not only was her character stunningly beautiful outside, she was incredibly beautiful on the inside as well. One of the best films to make a person smile.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you-do or do not there is no try.

She looked fabulous and her character was terrific. What struck me (and I don't mean to get too feminist, sociological here - kinda) was why she was expected to find men almost 20 years older attractive? It's not so much that she ends up with one (allowing for individual chemistry, etc.) but that all the men in the film who are courting her are universally much older. Sheesh!

Ann was actually involved in a serious auto accident that nearly took her life. It happened decades ago but after "Viva Las Vegas". As part of her recovery she had a series of reconstructive surgerys done to put her face back together. I'd say the doctors did a excellent job! Knowing this info. look at her face closely and you'll be able to see slight scars. Beleive it or not. But she still is HOT and has a great set of ****!

Phenomenal is right! I think she usually looks 30, and never over 35. To me that's the most attractive age for most women.
I looked up a few pictures of her when she was 23 and there was no attractive personality in her face at that age. However, I'll have to see some of her movies at that age to see for sure.
