<p dir="auto">On TV in Japan they showed a version edited for time that completely cut out the romance. Which also meant they cut most of the scenes where it's just Rene Russo and Clint Eastwood talking. It may sound odd, but I think the no romance version makes more sense and is a lot tighter.</p>

<p dir="auto">That sounds a lot better.  Just saw it for the first time wished they would have cut that useless plot</p>

<p dir="auto">I hated the romance. Seemed really shoe horned in. There were a couple cliches that I saw coming a mile away that distracted from an otherwise excellent movie.</p>
