At first I thought this was a sequel to some other film, but then realized it's not. Obviously we all know it means "Menace to society" but why the need for the roman numerals?

Looks more street/ghetto. A lot of rappers do the same thing with their names and song titles. Just look at the soundtrack, it's littered with similar "mis-spellings".
