This film entertained me when I was little but as an adult I have changed.
My first criticism is Daniel. I think he was stupid to throw away a good promising job because he couldn't separate his politics from his work. Did he not read the script that was given to him and what the plot of the cartoon contained? Did he read the contract I'm sure he signed? Was he not thinking about his kids welfare and how much they needed that "paycheck" they were offering him? Real stupid in my opinion.
Miranda I can definitely see her POV. Daniel is a major pain in the ass with the party. But She does have an arrogance about her that rubs me the wrong way. She couldn't tell it was him-her ex-husband who is good at making a career outta "doing voice"-on the phone talking to her those many times? Some of her actions just seemed spiteful and mean spirited.
This film has me completely conflicted and I don't know if I should be that way with such a comedy. The only people I did care about were the kids and how hard this must've been on them. I think the Judge, though harsh, was right to have Daniel not see his kids without supervision. I mean, he dressed up like an old lady to see his kids! Sounds very sick if you ask me.
That's my opinion.

I'd didn't even think Daniel was all that bad of a person. He was just different. He wasn't irresponsible.

That's a very good point to think about his kids.
But Daniel was also thinking about all the kids that could be put on to smoking because of a cartoon.
So many stories, so little time.

If I had kids to feed? Yes. To hell with myself. My kids come first.

I am sure he didn't real like how the director wanted him to do, and even hey listen buddy if you leave your not coming back, if somebody said that to you would you want to stay?
