The flaw in your argument is that I think 1880s Staches are ridiculous.
Each to his own, but I personally think it's not nearly as ridiculous as today's feminine looking men carefully cultivating their perfect little stubble (maybe filled in with Sharpies) and shaving their chests. I'll take the 1880s look any day.

I'm old-fashioned, so I would have said, "Look at a book," instead of "google a photo;" but then it seems like most IMDB contributors these days would say, ''Book'? What is this thing, 'book.'?"
I especially recommend the OP looking at the photo taken of Wyatt in the mid 1880s when he was in San Diego.
