The hall of mirrors sequence has always been my favorite part of this movie. Does anyone know what exactly the carnie is supposed to be in? I mean, he's not trapped IN the mirror so much as he's trapped on the other side of the mirror. Is Hell on the otherside of mirrors? At the end of the movie Satan comes up from inside the earth.
And is hell a nightmarish carnival for everyone or is this a Hellraiser-esque "personal hell"? In Hellbound: Hellraiser II there is a section of Hell that is a dark carnival in essence.
Why is the "other side of reality" or the other side of the mirror at first just silent darkness when the Warlock plays his trick on the carnie but afterward we see and hear its full horror?

The world on the other side of the mirror reminds me of an evil circus or carnival which would be fitting since he was a circus carnie with a freak show. Maybe he became a freak in this alternate reality and was imprisoned in a cage.
Does anyone wonder what happened to the man inside the mirror after we last see him?

I think that the Warlock simply trapped the carnie in a nightmare version of the world within the mirror. Definitely not the same world Kiefer Sutherland's character was trapped in at the end of Mirrors.
Welcome to my Nightmare- Freddy Krueger

Maybe he can have coffee with Kiefer Sutherland sometime and discuss it, who suffered the same fate in "Mirrors".
