There is so much going on in season 4, and I remember watching it religiously with my mom. It was a very well written season with Emily and Phoebe's pregnancy. Season 7 is slightly more boring than season 1, but not by much. Season 10 is awful, awful, awful and short. Season 8 definitely is a bounce-back season.

I agree with you. I loved season 8 the Rachel being pregnant storyline was fun to watch. Season 9 faltered more than 8.

Courteney had a lot of miscarriages during the course of
Friends
. The writers wanted to have her and Chandler have trouble having a baby to make it different from the RR arc where they flawlessly had a baby together.
And they say it was even more emotional because Courteney didn't seem to be able to stay pregnant at the time.. Coco was the only luck she'd had during the show, and she wasn't in the scene until season 10. So since Monica was already revealed to not be able to conceive by that point, they didn't work her pregnancy into the show. Also the reason fat Monica isn't as fat in the college flashback, because it gets hot in the suit, and they could risk overheating pregnant Courteney -they already had to use some fans to cool her down.

If you're gonna pretend to cut her hair, at least put some scissors in your hand!

I hated the last half of 8, especially when Courtney Cox was so obviously pregnant and they were trying to deliver an arc that she couldn't get pregnant.
What I hated most though? The finale. One of the biggest letdowns for me from the entire show. It was so forced and contrived to deliver everything to everybody that it felt awkward.

Season 8 is honestly my favorite season.

I completely disagree. Seasons 6-10 are all worse. Either 9 or 10 is the worst season.

I don't think it's awful at all. Looking back, the first few episodes are somewhat awkward because they're a little different, but I would say it's probably a better season than season 5. The first season is the whole reason I started watching Friends.

No, the first five seasons are the best seasons of the show. After that it only got worse.

I think it was middle of the road and a bit below that. The baby idea was horrible.
