Has anyone done what Ross always does when he's staying in hotels?
I mean taking stuff to get back what the hotel owes you?

The only thing I take is the hand lotions smell so good and smooth. The front desk even gave me extra haha

Who wants to be stuck in the hotel room? If you're using the pool or other facilities thats one thing but to just hang out in the room? Seems boring.

Sure, but sometimes you have a plane to catch or a long drive home. Sometimes I stay util check out, but it seems impractical to always do it or to schedule flights late in the day just so you can sit in a hotel room longer.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that I'll be over here looking through your stuff.

My partner and me always check out about 5 minutes before we have to. Normally because we 're both enjoying ourselves so much haha
We've only ever taken soaps and shower gels and tea coffee sachets though, never batteries andncrap. Why would you?? Hehe
That whole ice cream and Chandler not being able to cry thing is stupid, just silly inconsistensies, as weve seen Ross eating icecream on more than one occasion and Chandler cries in the episode where Ross gives Phoebe a bike.

I take the shampoo and maybe tea bags if they have them. Not as some revenge plot, but because those are free items that I can use. I don't get staying until check out. Don't people usually have quite a bit of traveling that waiting until noon is nonsensical?

I always take toiletries. Pop 'em in a zip lock bag and I have a travel kit approved by the FAA without spending money on travel size bottles. I have enough of those small 1 oz shampoos, conditioners, and body washes for probably the next ten years of air travel!

Well it's mentioned that Ross never checks out of a hotel room a minute early, and after Barbados we know he took "200 bottles of shampoo." After Monica and chandler's wedding we know that he takes all the toilet paper and thread. So I do think these are things he usually does, I think he took it to the extreme with Chandler in Vermont bc they felt like they got screwed over by the hotel bc their reservation was lost and they had to pay for a fancy suite.

Monica snorting when she laughs. Never seen again.

Joey and Chandler playing dangerous games - Hammer Darts + Fire Ball

Chandler not being able to cry

Rachel hating things getting near her eye

Ross hating Ice Cream
You forgot the one where Chandler can't smile.
Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads

And also when Ross says that after everything Chandler said he would go "Ba dum bum pshss" Chandler says Monica doesn't like it either and maybe he should stop doing that.
Not once did we see him do that.
Unless he did it offscreen.

And to add to those, I've never seen Pheobe chew her hair again or Joey crack his knuckles.

Yeah. The writers love to do that. More examples of 1-episode quirks

Monica snorting when she laughs. Never seen again.

Joey and Chandler playing dangerous games - Hammer Darts + Fire Ball

Chandler not being able to cry

Rachel hating things getting near her eye

Ross hating Ice Cream
But I guess you get that when they have main story-lines they wanna do, but just need something to keep the other character busy.

If you're gonna pretend to cut her hair, at least put some scissors in your hand!

Not to that extent, I have taken tea and coffee and toiletries. I would never stoop to taking light bulbs or batteries and in my opinion, this is stealing, despite Ross trying to justify it as being built into the price.
On another note, this seems to be a trait that is never seen before or after this specific episode. There was no evidence of Ross behaving oddly in other hotel stays we see, such as Vegas, London, Barbados and Chandler/Monica's wedding. Although in that one, there was his weird trait of not leaving the room to check out until the very last minute.
