Seriouslydo I know you??? If it's the same bar, I regret to inform you it's sadly closed at the moment, but in the mean time there's always Silver Saloon, I guess. shrugs

I also know for a fact that line dancing goes on in "real cowboy bars" in eastern Colorado. Guys dance along, too. I think it just depends on the area you live in as to whether its an acceptable thing to do. And just because it may not be something that "real cowboys" do in your area does not mean that line dancing is a Hollywood fiction/creation, and to suggest as much shows a degree of ignorance.

I used to work as a bartender at a real "cowboy bar" in OKC. The guys mostly don't take part in the line dancing, it's the girls, and the guys stand on the side of the dance floor and watch. That's probably how it is in just about every cowboy bar as the guys either bring girls, or go there to meet girls, and girls like to dance. As for whether or not they are "real" cowboys, you can't get much more real than in Oklahoma and Texas.

This "real cowboy bar" is located deep in the heart of Texasand it's a place called "Chaps" that at one point I believe was bank and before that was a church, I believe.
And, for the record, I once saw an official "bar room brawl" that consisted of about 40 to 50 people (and no, I'm not exaggerating in the slightest). You can't get much more cowboy than that.

If they are ''Line-Dancing'' where you work, then it's no part of a cowboy bar. Period.

No offense, but, actually, I work in a "real cowboy bar" and yes, we do in fact line danceI will, however, admit it's mostly the women and I only see maybe one or two men all night line dance them selfs.

Nobody line dances in real cowboy bars. Line dancing was invented by urban cowboys. I hated when they make movies with cowboy themesand show line dancing. Hollywood very rarely gets western life accurate.
