I was wondering if the song Once In Awhile was written about Lane?

Oh okay well thanks, Thats cool that their musicians paid tribute to him and yeah I think he was a great rider too and so is Tuff. Its also cool that you went into bull riding because of Lane.

i can't find anything that says for sure if this was written for Lane but i found this:
Country music star Garth Brooks paid tribute to Frost in his music video for the hit single "The Dance" and wrote the song "The Beaches of Cheyenne" about Frost. The nu metal band KoRn paid tribute to Frost in their music video for the song "Hold On".
he was a great rider and he got me into PBR big time. what is weird is that as soon as i started watching bull riding i immediately picked Tuff Hedeman as my favorite rider not knowing at the time he and Lane had been best friends. Cowboy up!
