Thanks for the compliment about tbe original Trusello Bakery - yes, the owners were my paternal grandparents! As you probably know, Trusello's Pizzeria in Lewiston, which was run by my second cousins, is now closed; what you may not know, if you still live in Toronto (great city!), is that the original Trusello Bakery is open again, under new management and with a new name! Now the DG Bakery, it's open Wednesday through Sunday, from 7 A.M. till 3 P.M., although they often sell out of bread and/or pizza well before closing time! Neither are made from our exact recipe, but they are very similar - cookie production to begin this year! I hope you'll come and visit! Best wishes!!!

Yep, Niagara Falls born & raised, though I haven't lived there in 15 years. My family is still there though. A guy my buddy used to work with is an extra in the movie. I think another poster pointed out that Easy Pete's may have been the bar used, at least from the outside.
By the way, with the username mtrusello, are you at all related to the famous Niagara Falls Trusello family that made the greatest pizza ever? And if so, are you one of the ones opening the new Trusello's in Lewiston?

actually i think the bar scene was filmed in a generic place and was named after "Easy Pete's" which was an old bar on pine ave, right near Ed's Gun Shop, which was another Pine Ave. business named in the movie. The smoke stacks you see do not exist in NF (although the city has plenty). the ones filmed in the movie are located in hamilton, ON.

I live in Buffalo, NY. Which is really where McKinley was shot, Not Niagara falls.
Also, some footage of this movie was film there.

I grew up in the Tonawanda area, however my parents owned the bed and breakfast
on River Road on the CDN side closet to the falls, where I lived for the first
year or so. My dad commuted daily to where he worked at Hooker Chemical, which
is part of the scenery of the "American" scenery that's shown, I.e. the smokestacks
and Love Canal grime. And my uncle was one of the senior eng's
for the big hydro plant in Lewiston. I spent many days as a kid wandering up
and down Lundy's Lane, etc. which back then in the 60's, was still safe to do.
I'm sure few would remember, but underneath the Rainbow Bridge back then, used
to be this huge arcade full of all those great old mechanical machines like
the spin your own record, stamp a penny, fortune tellers, peekaboo movie shows,
etc. It was all that noise and lights and gizmo's that got me into electronic's
later on in life. Also, as far as I know, there is a gift shop that had been
dug right into the face of the cliff's on the CDN side of the gorge, just about
100 ft from the bridge heading towards the falls. They walled up the staircase
to it in the late 60's due to being scared that erosion would collapse the place,
but myself and some friends have snuck over the wall a couple of times and gone
wandering around in this "ghost town" under the cliffs. Also, it's connected
by tunnels to the old bus station, but we couldn't get through the doors.
A great place to be a kid back then, before it all got too "PC"..
