<p dir="auto">Yes, a terrific effect and scene.  I would have liked to have seen it extended a bit more.  That kind of stuff just gives me the willies.</p>

<p dir="auto">God that scene creeped me the hell out, the look on the statue despite looking fake made me feel damn uncomfortable. Best scene in the movie, and made me wonder what exactly happened between the priest and the statue.<br />

<p dir="auto">yea the way that rhps described the scene is the only way ive seen it and i just seen this movie.  for the 1st time i think or at least the whole way through cause i know when i was younger i did at least see some parts of this movie jus dont know if i saw this scene back then.</p>

<p dir="auto">There's no proof that it's the statue that kills Father Nolan. In every version I've seen (both US and UK) the Virgin Mary statue goes from being in a state of praying to just coming to life with an evil grin. I don't think there is anything other than that to that scene.</p>
