The resemblance was astounding. Great job.
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.

Totally agree! But I also think they did a superb job casting everyone in this movie. From David Strathaim as Joe, who despite his abusive nature, has just enough charisma to still be likable. To Christopher Plummer, who's soothing accent and almost regal delivery makes him one of the most likable actors in the business. To, of course, Kathy Bates, who in my opinion, is one of the best actors in Hollywood.

I agree! It wasn't just the resemblance. It was the mannerisms and the way they spoke.
I still tear up when I see that scene where adult Selena takes pills and begs her mother to just give her 10 minutes to get it together. then we see young Selena in pain over the nasty phone call. She breaks the Christmas decoration and cuts herself. The tears and pain feel very real.
The casting of this young girl was amazing indeed!
I just watched this film again today. It's been awhile. I was reminded again of what a great choice they made in casting her.
"Fasten your seatbelts. It's going to be a bumpy night"
