Do you think the success of Deadpool will lead to a new The Mask movie that's bloody and violent like the comics?

Ah, the Deadpool theory. It kinda reminds me of the Heath Ledger/The Dark Knight theory, i.e., if you cast a very questionable actor in a big role, chances are said actor will succeed in role. Not sure if the success of Deadpool will actually make R rated comic movies a thing (or R rated action movies in general), but if there's ever another Mask movie - and it's not a true sequel to the original - it will most likely stay true to its source material. I mean after the bad taste that awful sequel left, a faithful adaption would only make sense. But, it would probably go to netflix or something unless there's still a strong interest in the comics.
You want something corny? You got it!

I dunno, people will still have this film in their minds if a reboot was announced.

There's this theory now that if you can release Deadpool with an R rating you can release anything. Batman vs Superman, X-Men, Ironman..
