I googled this site after watching TDS and Jon Stewart clip from movie Was amazed to realise this was a remake of a popular French film from the 80s, "Le Pre Noel Est Une Ordure" ("Santa Claus is a Bastard"). which itself was based on a cabaret show. From what I've read here, the French version is much funnier, and the cabaret version better than the film.
