That's one of my all time favorite films in general. I usually watch it four or five times between Halloween and new years.

I love non traditional holiday films. Another Great one is 'Reckless,' but it's only available on VHS. There are many holiday horror films, but most people like the original 'Black Christmas,' 'Christmas Evil,' and 'Silent Night, Deadly Night,' not to be confused with 'Silent Night, Bloody Night', different film. Then there is of course 'The Nightmare Before Christmas' and 'National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.'

If you haven't already seen The Ref, I would definitely recommend it. It is also a black comedy kind of Christmas film like Mixed Nuts and also like Mixed Nuts, it has been one of my favorite Christmas films for years. It is rated R and has a lot of cussing, so I don't know if I would watch it with kids. Although, I don't think you sound like you will.
