someone who by the time this was made in '94 was a forgotten actor. he hadn't had a box office hit movie or a big role in a big movie since like '89, the fly 2. so the fact he was in this movie is done out of love and respect between roger avery and eric and maybe from quentin tarantino for eric, i wish.
i was pleasantly surprised when i saw eric in this film because he was not a big or successful/bankable actor when this film was made.
i've always loved eric stoltz. he's always lovable in no matter what role he's in pretty much. i love him in 2 days in the valley and the fly 2.

All of the actors besides Bruce Willis were B-movie actors and washed-up actors. Tarantino did that on purpose. Willis was the box-office draw.

I was surprised at all the actors being in the movie. I had completely forgotten about most of those actors. I didnt even know who Sam Jackson or Ving Rhames were at the time I saw the movie.

if he was it wouldn't have worked and back to the future would have been a flop and bad movie. so i don't like to think about him being in this movie.

Yes. I heard that too.
I can see how that might have helped him in that role. He could certainly put himself in Rocky's shoes and get some sense of what it had to be like for that poor kid.

And who can ever forget him in Mask?
This movie is full of actors who's careers were in a bit of a slump.
Just two off the top of my head are John Travolta and Rosanne Arquette.
