After watching the movie for the 2nd time on netflix I checked the wiki for several of the real life characters. It's an interesting story after all.
Interesting that both men Herb Stempel now age 89 and Charles Van Doren age 90 are still around. Either one exactly destroyed from the scandal or over burdened with guilt.
Apparently Charles Van Doren did not like the line at the end of the film that he never taught again. He continued to work in education but in a different way writing and editing the encyclopedia Britannica and authoring educational books.
