Just seen about Imdb closing down all message boards on the 20th February forever.
Pretty shocked, and wish they would reverse the decision.
Anyhow, just thought I would come here to post my final Shawshank thread.
This Movie had a huge positive effect on my life, and I think I discovered Imdb in about 1999 (?) and would discuss the movie with others here, and it really give me a great feeling that others felt the same, etc.
I think Shawshank and Imdb are really linked in my mind and both really helped me when things were bad. Imdb Message Boards gave a great outlet when bored to discuss all kind of intricacies of movies (off the top if my head I had great discussions and moments of revelation on The Departed, The Lord Of The Rings, The Matrix, The Prestige, Taxi Driver, and also Breaking Bad).
Will really miss these boards, please reconsider, Imdb, but if not, then thank you.
