Timecop
is the ideal remake candidate - a movie with a great concept and poor execution.
Instead of remaking the already awesome
Total Recall
and
RoboCop
, they should update this mess.
The
Total Recall
remake was awful, but check out the cars in it:
Now compare it to the monstrosity that JCVD drives in
Timecop
:
Already you've got a better movie than the original! Throw in someone who can act and you've got a solid remake. Make it happen.

I remember watching this as a teenager and thinking it was awesome. Just watched it again this evening and felt so let down - thought it was appalling! The only bit I still like from my teens is where
that bad guy got his arm frozen in liquid nitrogen and had it kicked off
. Maybe a remake could prove better.
