I'm not convinced there are 250 films that are objectively better than this film. I'm not convinced there are 350 films that are objectively better than this film. Hell, I'm not convinced there are 500 films that are objectively better than this film!
Timecop is a masterclass in film-making; exuding class in direction, acting, dialogue, action set pieces, fight choreography, computer-effects, and the presentation of Mia Sara's breasts. Simply exquisite. Van Damme's finest workand that's really saying something.

Alot of Van Damme's movies fall victim to the low IMDB rating. Sure, some are garbage but movies like Lionheart, and Bloodsport are every bit as classic as anything else in the action genre. Timecop was decent, but it's also completely laughable in many ways. Too many to count really.

I'm not sure about that, but it definitely deserves a higher rating.
