I really liked this series when I used to watch it on UPN about a decade ago. To be honest, I would like to see a TV movie done that would wrap out the overall story (like how "Farscape" got a miniseries to wrap up a major storyline). They could get Bruce Greenwood back as Tom, and it could be set a decade after the events last seen in the show (maybe he's still running, maybe he's found a way of hiding better, or hiding more difficult because of the political climate) or something along those lines. Seriously, this was a great show, and I feel it should have a book-end that's not a cliffhanger, but something to finally put the period on the long sentence that was the show.
Of course, this is just my opinion, I could be wrong.
But this one's eating my popcorn!

If the creator Larry Hertzog were still with us today (he sadly passed away last year), I think he would say that the finale episode is about as perfect an ending as he could have imagined. The ending to the first season was planned from the beginning of the project and was intended to be vague and confusing, both to leave the door open for a possible second season and also
because
it raised more questions and kept Tom from finding an explanation. The ending has much in common thematically with the finale of The Prisoner (indeed, the entire show owes much to The Prisoner), and what meaning can be found in their endings is similar, I think. Gemini might be confusing and frustrating, but it would have been against the spirit of the show to end with a satisfying conclusion.
Besides, I have doubts Greenwood would return to the role. He's moved on to much "bigger" things (at least in terms of exposure and paycheck), and Tom Veil was a character he seemed to find frustrating and enigmatic.
