Trial by Fire has a newly inaugurated President whose presidency barely got started when an approaching fleet of alien spaceships was coming to Earth leaving him with the decision of whether to attack or welcome these aliens.
This is a case of bad timing for the new president as no doubt he was wishing that his predecessor got to handle this problem instead of himself.
