Yeah. Back in high school. My parents wouldn't let me have cable in my room. So I had a TV with a VCR. But I could get KADY TV on the antenna.

That's the way they wanted it? I'm not sure why but they specifically said they didn't want a big burly dude for their Hercules.
Granted, I remember being thrown off as well at the time. But, having a TV that only gets one channel on the antenna limited my TV options. So I eventually got sucked in.
At the end of the day, I'll give any show that Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert produce a shot because I've loved all of them.

That said, I don't get hung up on the not looking Greek thing. 90% of the cast on both shows is from New Zealand so I just roll with it and have fun….
The best is when the New Zealand actors can't pronounce the "r" in Hercules, but they add an "r" to the end of Xena….

Well I like the actress who plays Xena. But the actor who plays Hercules annoys me. He's miscast in the role.

For the life of me, I don't get how people can like one show and hate the other. They're so intertwined it makes the most sense to watch both.
That said, I'm in the minority with that mindset, it seems….

I haven't watched Hercules in ages. I forgot the guy they cast as Hercules is some anglo wimp who doesn't look remotely Greek or Mediterranean. I never liked that show. I'll stick with Xena.
