The gun in the movie is a Taurus PT92 which is based on the Beretta 92.
However the safety-mechanism and other things has been developed further by Taurus.
In the front there is a for the movie custom made compensatorkit to balance out the gun (and make it look more special!)

If you are talking about the pistol he uses then it is for sure a Beretta 92fs, or a Taurus built on the 92fs frame.
I personally think it is a Taurus due to the finish, but I could be mistaken.
And with the added adaptor it looks awfully sexy :-), which I assume is what you mean by "obviously with the added explosive light thingy" it is added so the pistol gets heavier and is more stable\less recoil during fire.
I haven`t seen the movie in YEARS but I think you refer to the pistol yes ?
