Awesome movie, one of my fav action movies! I love movies set in New York and watching this again recently I noticed how really great this movie looked being filmed on location around the city. Any recommendations on other films that feature New York City heavily, as almost a character? Taxi Driver also comes to mind.

I'm the same as you; I love watching films set in New York so I can vicariously experience the city.
A few other films that show the city off are Ghostbusters 1&2, MIB, Michael Clayton, They Came Together, Manhattan and Black Swan. They're the first that come to mind. Hope that helps.
