I have seen it about ten times loved every minute of it and every actor appearing. I gave it a "10". If gets funnier each time.
Perhaps one reason it has scored so low are the Hollywood jokes which might not be meaningful to some viewers. The humor does not resonate.

I gave it an 8. Great film with a stellar cast.

does a magnificent job of simultaneously pimping how the system in Hollywood really works, while still managing to pay homage to the Golden era of film. It has great re-watch value, for me. When they reference Bette Davis in
The Cabin in the Cotton
, when Chili is watching
Touch of Evil
, or he and Karen are discussing what I assume is
Gilda
(Rita Hayworth and Glenn Ford appeared together in multiple films, but that was their most famous pairing), as a true lover of Classic Hollywood, I can't help but smile. All I can hope is that somebody watching
Get Shorty
for the first time will further investigate these great movies of the past.

This is the highest score I've given any movie ever. Get Shorty is probably my 'perfect' movie.
