Movie was on in the background and given the amount of movies the guy is in I assumed it was SLJ, he probably could have been casted and the movie would be exactly the same.

It would have been the same - sort of, but not really
Lindo does an awesome job playing Cat as a sort of quasi intellectual thug pretending to be Mr.Big.
I can't really picture class act Freeman pulling that off with the same credibility.
