I've seen this movie dozens of times. I still do not get this joke, why did Martin order two straws for Harry? Wouldn't that make it harder for him to drink?

Martin asked for two straws because Harry's jaws were wired shut and he couldn't opened his mouth too wide hence the need for straws and there being two because it would be easier to suck up the strawberry frappe.
